What's the difference between Wall Art and Prints?

Wall Art is one of a kind, carved by hand into the piece itself. Prints are made from a separate hand carved lino or wood block, which can be used to produce multiple prints on high GSM card stock. Prints are a more affordable way to own an original Tattsart design.

Why is a design I want out of stock?

Accepted Answer

Because Wall Art pieces are individually hand carved, they're made in limited numbers, so popular designs can sell out fast. Good news though, designs are generally recarved and restocked, so it's worth checking back or following along on Instagram for restock announcements.

Is Tattsart run by an actual tattoo artist?

Yes. Every design comes from the artist behind Tattsart, whose background spans street art, tattooing, and custom car restoration before moving into hand carved art and printmaking.

Does Tattsart do custom or commissioned pieces?

Yes, custom pieces are available. Get in touch directly to enquire about a commission.

Are the t-shirts hand carved too?

Accepted Answer

No. The clothing designs are original artwork created by the Tattsart artist, then printed onto the garments by a production partner, so the process is different to the Wall Art and Prints.

Are Tattsart pieces made by hand?

Yes. I make each piece by hand, and I don't use templates or mass production. That means every artwork has its own marks, texture, and character.
