A hand-carved piece of wall art inspired by traditional tattoo flash, old-school tattoo lettering, and the darker side of classic pop culture.

I carved this piece by hand from MDF, then printed it using Flint water-based block ink. The design has that bold, stripped-back look of traditional tattoo artwork, with strong lettering and a rough, handmade finish that suits the quote and its Scarface inspiration.

The frame is an upcycled op-shop find. Rather than using a brand-new mass-produced frame, I give an old frame another life and pair it with the carved artwork.

My work is heavily influenced by traditional tattoo wood carving, vintage tattoo flash, old-school tattoo graphics, and the kind of bold imagery that looks just as good hanging on a wall as it does on a flash sheet.

The water-based block ink gives the print a strong, slightly textured finish, while the carved MDF adds depth and texture to the design. Every piece is carved and printed by hand, so small variations are expected, and no two artworks will be exactly alike.
